Smart Lighting
Embark on the enchantment of smart lighting to illuminate your entire home. Smart lighting elevates your living space with sophistication, ambiance, convenience, and energy efficiency, offering remote control via touch, voice commands, or automated responses tailored to your lifestyle. There are three methods of lighting control, and we recommend consulting with our experts to determine the best fit for your home.
The first method
Centralized lighting control, which involves routing full electrical lighting circuits and control cables from wall switches back to the distribution box (DB). This approach is commonly implemented in new constructions of landed houses or large penthouses undergoing full rewiring. It meets Singapore Power (SP testing) requirements, essential for obtaining a TOP permit in Singapore.
The second method
Wireless lighting control, leveraging wireless signals like ZigBee. Here, no control cables are needed to link switches and smart home controllers, making it suitable for homes undergoing renovations without full rewiring.
The third method
Using smart bulbs or LED strips to adjust white tones or provide colorful RGB settings, creating desired ambiance. This method is typically combined with centralized or wireless lighting control to complete the home lighting system.
Air-conditioner Control
Indulge in personalized comfort settings effortlessly scheduled with a few taps on your phone, touch screen, or through voice commands. Pre-cooling the house by turning on the air conditioning before your arrival adds to the convenience. Linking the air conditioning system to the home automation system offers the advantage of monitoring the entire house's air conditioning status on one dashboard, reducing the risk of leaving the air conditioning on overnight or for extended periods.
The conventional method of air conditioning control involves using an IR (infrared) emitter or blaster, which learns IR codes from the air conditioning remote into the home automation system. However, this setup only allows for one-way control, with the air conditioning system unable to communicate its current status to the home automation system, limiting air conditioning monitoring capabilities.
We recommend a two-way control method: using wired bus communication for centralized air conditioning and integrated Wi-Fi chips for split air conditioning systems. This approach not only enables monitoring of the on/off status of air conditioners in the house but also extracts room temperature and humidity information sensed by the air conditioning thermostat, displaying it in the smart home app for enhanced control and management.
