    The Marantz CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is designed for premium home cinema systems, dedicated theatre rooms and sophisticated multi-purpose living spaces. Combining powerful amplification, immersive surround processing and refined Marantz musicality, it brings movies, music and gaming to life with exceptional scale, clarity and control.

    With 9.4 channels of built-in amplification rated at 110 watts per channel, CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 can power a wide range of immersive speaker configurations while supporting up to 11.4-channel processing and pre-amplifier outputs for future system expansion. The 110-watt rating is specified into 8 ohms from 20 Hz–20 kHz at 0.08% THD with two channels driven.

    Series 2 introduces an upgraded high-performance DAC, designed to enhance clarity, resolution and dynamic range while retaining Marantz's signature HDAM amplification technology and carefully tuned sonic character.

    Six 8K-capable HDMI inputs, extensive connectivity, HEOS® Built-in streaming, Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room correction and support for an optional Dirac Live upgrade make CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 a powerful foundation for a modern high-performance home theatre.

    Performance

    CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 combines Marantz's decades of audio engineering experience with modern home cinema technology.

    Nine discrete power amplifier channels provide amplification rated at 110 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.08% THD, with two channels driven, providing the authority required for dynamic movie soundtracks while retaining the detail and musicality expected from Marantz.

    At the heart of Series 2 is an upgraded high-performance DAC, designed to enhance clarity, resolution and dynamic range across movies, music and streaming sources.

    Marantz's proprietary HDAM-SA2 Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules, current-feedback architecture and carefully selected components further contribute to a spacious, detailed and natural presentation.

    Whether reproducing quiet dialogue, orchestral soundtracks or large-scale cinematic effects, CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is engineered to deliver the balance, musicality and dynamic performance associated with Marantz.

    Immersive Cinema

    CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 supports advanced immersive surround formats including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Auro-3D and IMAX Enhanced. It also supports DTS Neural:X, DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization.

    Its nine built-in amplifier channels support sophisticated immersive speaker configurations, including systems with dedicated in-ceiling or height speakers.

    For larger installations, up to 11.4-channel processing and pre-outs allow additional external power amplifiers to be added, creating a more extensive immersive home theatre system without replacing the receiver.

    Four independently configurable subwoofer outputs provide additional flexibility when designing systems with multiple subwoofers.

    Precision Room Calibration

    Every room affects the way a sound system performs.

    CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 includes Audyssey MultEQ XT32, allowing the receiver to analyse the acoustic characteristics of the listening environment and optimise the system accordingly.

    For installations requiring more advanced acoustic calibration, CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is also upgradeable to Dirac Live Room Correction. A separate Dirac Live licence must be purchased before Dirac Live can be used.

    This flexibility makes the receiver equally suitable for professionally designed home cinemas and premium living-room entertainment systems.

    Marantz design is unmistakably elegant.

    The CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 continues the contemporary CINEMA Series aesthetic with a clean, symmetrical front panel, premium construction and the distinctive Marantz porthole display.

    Large input and volume controls provide a tactile, traditional feel, while additional controls and connections remain discreetly hidden behind the front-panel door.

    The result is a sophisticated AV receiver designed to complement modern interiors while maintaining the distinctive visual identity of Marantz.

    CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is designed to become the centre of a modern entertainment system.

    It provides six HDMI inputs, all capable of supporting 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz pass-through, with bandwidth of up to 40Gbps.

    The receiver provides three HDMI outputs in total, comprising main-zone monitor connectivity together with a Zone 2 HDMI output. Enhanced Audio Return Channel, or eARC, is supported for compatible televisions.

    HDMI eARC allows compatible televisions to send high-quality audio directly to the receiver, while HDMI-CEC can simplify everyday control when used with compatible televisions and source equipment.

    The Marantz AVR Remote and HEOS app provide convenient control of receiver and streaming functions from compatible smartphones and tablets.

    Support for an optional Dirac Live upgrade provides another pathway for advanced acoustic optimisation. A compatible Dirac Live licence is purchased separately.
