The Eversolo DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 is a high-fidelity music streamer, DAC, CD player and analogue preamplifier designed to serve as the centre of a premium Hi-Fi system. It combines flagship AKM digital conversion, precision clocking, high-resolution streaming, physical CD playback and comprehensive system connectivity within a single component.
Built for listeners who enjoy both digital streaming and physical media, the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 supports high-resolution music playback up to DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32-bit, while its integrated CD system provides dedicated disc playback and ripping capabilities.

Aerospace-Grade Aluminium Chassis
The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 is housed in a precision-engineered aerospace-grade aluminium chassis designed to provide a rigid and refined foundation for its internal electronics.
The metal construction provides natural shielding against external interference, while the wider 388 × 265mm footprint gives the internal audio, power and CD playback systems additional space. At 98.5mm high, the Master Gen 2 is slightly taller than the standard DMP-A8 Gen 2 to accommodate its additional hardware.
Large 8.6” Touchscreen
A large 8.6-inch LCD touchscreen provides direct access to music browsing, playback, input selection and system settings.
Eversolo's redesigned user interface turns the front display into a comprehensive control centre, providing an intuitive way to navigate the player's streaming, local music and system functions directly from the unit.
Integrated CD Playback & Ripping
A major feature of the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 is its integrated CD playback system, allowing physical compact discs to become part of the same system used for streaming and locally stored music.
The dedicated CD mechanism is optimised for quiet and stable operation, while high-precision error correction helps minimise read errors during playback and ripping. CDs can also be ripped for storage within a digital music library.
Flagship AKM DAC Architecture
The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 combines an AK4191EQ digital processor with the flagship AK4499EXEQ DAC.
Separating digital processing and digital-to-analogue conversion allows each component to perform a dedicated role within the signal path. Combined with AKM's Velvet Sound architecture, the design supports high-resolution playback with low distortion, high dynamic range and precise reproduction of musical detail.
OCXO Clock with PLL Technology
The Master Gen 2 distinguishes itself from the standard DMP-A8 Gen 2 with an upgraded OCXO clock system combined with PLL technology.
Accurate clocking is important in digital audio because timing errors can introduce jitter into the signal. The Master Edition's enhanced clock architecture is designed to provide a stable timing reference for digital audio processing and conversion.
10MHz External Clock Input
For advanced digital audio systems, the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 supports a 10MHz adaptive external clock input.
This allows the player to integrate with compatible high-precision external master clocks, providing additional flexibility for audiophile systems built around a dedicated reference clock.
Fully Balanced Analogue Preamplifier
The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 incorporates a fully balanced analogue preamplifier architecture with XLR balanced and RCA single-ended connectivity.
Both XLR and RCA analogue inputs are provided for external sources, while balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA pre-outputs allow the player to connect directly to a power amplifier or active loudspeakers.
This allows the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 to function as a streamer, DAC, CD player and preamplifier within a complete two-channel audio system.
High-Precision R-2R Analogue Volume Control
A high-precision R-2R resistor ladder handles volume adjustment in the analogue domain.
This approach avoids relying solely on digital attenuation and is designed to preserve signal detail and dynamic information as the listening level changes, particularly when the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 is connected directly to a power amplifier or active loudspeakers.
Low-Noise Dual Power Supply
The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 uses a low-noise dual power architecture with separate linear and digital power sections.
Separating the power requirements of the sensitive analogue audio circuitry from the digital processing section helps provide a cleaner electrical foundation for the player's audio circuitry.
Eversolo AuralEngine
Eversolo's proprietary AuralEngine forms part of the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2's digital audio architecture.
Working together with Eversolo's software platform and EOS audio processing, it enables high-resolution audio playback while providing the processing foundation for the player's extensive streaming, DSP and system functions.

The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 supports high-resolution playback up to Native DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32-bit through compatible interfaces.
A wide range of high-fidelity audio formats is supported, including DSD, MQA, FLAC, APE and WAV, allowing the player to handle both high-resolution local music collections and compatible streaming content.
Comprehensive Digital Connectivity
A broad selection of digital inputs and outputs allows the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 to integrate with televisions, external DACs and other digital audio components.
USB-B, optical and coaxial connections accommodate external digital sources, while USB Audio, IIS, optical and coaxial outputs provide flexible options when using the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 with an external DAC.
HDMI ARC/eARC
Built-in HDMI ARC/eARC allows compatible televisions and projectors to send audio directly to the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 at up to stereo PCM 192kHz/24-bit.
This makes it possible to use the same high-quality two-channel audio system for television, movies and music without requiring a separate AV receiver.
Dedicated Subwoofer Output
A dedicated subwoofer output allows a powered subwoofer to be integrated directly into a two-channel system.
The adjustable crossover provides additional flexibility when matching the subwoofer with the main loudspeakers and room, making the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 suitable for both traditional stereo and 2.1-channel configurations.
Expandable Music Storage up to 8TB
An M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD slot allows internal music storage to be expanded by up to 8TB.
The slot is accessible from the underside of the unit without requiring the main chassis to be opened, providing substantial storage capacity for locally maintained high-resolution music libraries. SSD is sold separately.
Create and Manage Your Music Library
The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 brings streaming, locally stored files, network music and ripped CDs together within the Eversolo music ecosystem.
Its music-library interface organises compatible music metadata for easier browsing and provides a central location for accessing music stored across supported local and network sources.
Integrated Music Streaming Services
Major streaming services are integrated into the Eversolo platform, including TIDAL, Qobuz, Apple Music, Amazon Music, HIGHRESAUDIO, Deezer, SoundCloud, Presto Music and other supported platforms.
This allows streaming services and locally stored music to be accessed from the same Eversolo interface, simplifying music discovery and playback.
Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect & Qobuz Connect
The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 supports Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect, allowing music to be selected directly from compatible service apps and played through the Eversolo.
DLNA, Network Audio Adapter and additional network playback options provide further flexibility for integrating the player with different digital music ecosystems.
20-Band Parametric EQ & Advanced DSP
A professional 20-band parametric equaliser provides detailed adjustment of frequency, gain and Q values.
Additional processing tools include FIR filter import, loudness control and dynamic range compression, allowing playback to be tailored to room acoustics, loudspeaker characteristics and individual listening preferences.
Wi-Fi 6 & Gigabit Ethernet
Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 provides 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless network connectivity, while Gigabit Ethernet provides a wired connection for stable network streaming.
The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 also provides SFP network connectivity for compatible optical or copper Ethernet modules, giving advanced installations additional network configuration options. SFP modules are sold separately.
Bluetooth 5.4
Bluetooth 5.4 provides convenient wireless playback from compatible smartphones, tablets and computers.
It offers a simple alternative to network streaming when users or guests want to connect a device directly for casual listening.
EVC Volume Engine
Eversolo's proprietary EVC Volume Engine is designed to maintain signal integrity across the available volume range.
