🔧 How to Take Down the Door Station Faceplate (Step-by-Step Tutorial)
Whether you're upgrading your intercom system, doing maintenance, or replacing components, taking down your door station faceplate is a straightforward task — as long as you follow the proper steps. Here's a simple guide to help you do it safely.
🧰 Tools Required
Allen key
Screwdriver
🛠 Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Unscrew the Faceplate (Top and Bottom Screws)
Using an Allen key, locate and unscrew the screws at the top and bottom of the door station faceplate. These screws secure the metal cover to the unit.
💡 Tip: Keep one hand on the faceplate while unscrewing to prevent it from falling.
Step 2: Unscrew the Number Pad
With the faceplate removed, you'll see the number pad module. Carefully unscrew it using a screwdriver.
Step 3: Unplug the Data / LAN Cable
Gently unplug the data cable or LAN cable from the door station. Take care not to tug or twist the connector.
⚠️ Caution: If the door station is powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet), turn off power at the source before disconnecting.
